The Rhythmboard Home dashboard, showing YTD revenue pacing ahead of goal and a monthly revenue chart

Designed by a data analyst with a $1M+ solo business

Most solo owners only check their numbers when something drops

But day to day, your business is giving you signals about what's working and what's leaking. They're just scattered.

Your revenue might be in Stripe or PayPal. Your expenses are in a bank account, a credit card, or a spreadsheet. Your subscriber growth lives in Kit, Flodesk, or beehiiv. Pulling it all together takes hours, so most months, it's easier to skip it and go with your gut.

Rhythmboard makes that easier. It pairs easy-to-read charts with lightweight check-ins, so keeping a close eye on your business takes minutes instead of an afternoon.

Your P&L can't show you what's working

Rhythmboard focuses on decisionmaking, not expense reporting. Each month, Rhythmboard helps you answer questions like:

  • Did I make more money this month, or did I just work more?
  • Which offers or revenue streams contributed the most?
  • Which of my marketing efforts are working? (And which are just busywork?)
  • What's my profit margin, and is it heading in the right direction?
  • How did last month's campaign compare to the one I ran 4 months ago?

Your time shouldn't be spent pulling numbers together. (That's Rhythmboard's job.) Instead, you can focus on what the numbers mean and what to do next.

Everything in one place, prepared for you

1. Auto-categorize your transactions

Connect Rhythmboard with Stripe or PayPal, or import a .csv from any account.

Use labels - like Services, Courses, Affiliates, or Partnerships - that actually match your business. After a one-time setup, your rules automatically categorize future transactions, too.

(In my own business, 90% of revenue and expenses now land in the right category without my help.)

1. Auto-categorize your transactions

2. Let Rhythmboard handle the reports

At the end of each month, Rhythmboard preps a simple snapshot of your month: your Monthly Metrics. You'll see total revenue, expenses, and profit, broken down into your actual revenue streams, plus how each one changed from last month.

(You can also track per product/service.)

Track your audience alongside your revenue, too, so you can review the trends in one place. Connect beehiiv, Flodesk, or Kit to follow your subscriber count, or add other email and social numbers in a few seconds at the end of each month.

You might still double-check the numbers. But now, your CEO time can go to seeing trends and making decisions instead of data cleanup.

2. Let Rhythmboard handle the reports

3. Stop reacting to your business, and start steering it

With your numbers ready, Rhythmboard guides you through quick, action-oriented check-ins (which we call rhythms) to keep an eye on what's working, what's dipping, and where your energy is needed most.

The goal is to leave each check-in with a decision you can act on.

3. Stop reacting to your business, and start steering it

Made for solo businesses with more than one way to earn

Most platforms with revenue tracking are built for larger companies. Rhythmboard was designed for online business owners who earn from a mix of:

  • Client services, consulting, or coaching
  • Courses, workshops, or memberships
  • Digital products, templates, or books
  • Affiliate commissions, sponsorships, or partnerships
  • Speaking

You can customize your revenue streams and categories to fit your business.

If you've outgrown a basic spreadsheet but don't want a finance suite built for a 50-person company, this is who I built Rhythmboard for.

Melissa Guller, founder of Rhythmboard

Why I built this

I've earned over $1M online as a solo business owner. And I credit a huge part of my success to my regular routines - or rhythms - that helped me stay focused, especially a monthly review of my numbers.

But for the last 5 years, I've had to use a patchwork system of Google Sheets and Notion pages to create the exact solo business hub I couldn't find anywhere else.

I have a data analytics + project management background, so the need to keep a close eye on my metrics was non-negotiable. But I couldn't find a simple way to do it without personally bringing 7 .csvs together and doing the manual work myself every month.

It didn't occur to me until this year that I'd be able to build the tool I'd always wished for. And as the idea came together, I realized that other solo business owners might want to try it, too.

Rhythmboard is the tool I didn't realize I'd been honing for 5 years. And I can't wait to share it with you.

Frequently asked questions

What is Rhythmboard?

Rhythmboard is a user-friendly business dashboard for solo business owners.

It helps you track key metrics like revenue, expenses, and profit. And it guides you through simple, customizable weekly, monthly, and quarterly check-ins so you can decide which priorities are worth your attention (and which aren't).

Who is Rhythmboard for?

Rhythmboard is designed for solo business owners who want to see their businesses clearly, without cobbling together spreadsheets or data from 12 different places every month.

Most platforms with revenue tracking are built for larger companies. Rhythmboard was intentionally designed for online business owners who sell a mix of services, courses, memberships, digital products, and/or physical goods.

Beyond that, you can also track revenue across multiple revenue streams, which are customizable to your business. (Ex: Affiliate commissions, partnerships, sponsorships, speaking, books, and more.)

What can I track in Rhythmboard?

Rhythmboard tracks money metrics and essential audience metrics. You can import or sync revenue and expense transactions, set rules to auto-categorize them, and track individual products and services. Rhythmboard also calculates your profit and shows charts that give you a clear read on the health of your business over time.

You can connect some email marketing platforms (currently beehiiv, Flodesk, and Kit) to track your subscribers. For other email platforms and social channels, you can add a simple end-of-month number by hand.

Does Rhythmboard connect to Stripe and PayPal?

Yes, you can securely sync your Stripe or PayPal transactions with Rhythmboard and set up rules to auto-categorize them as they come in.

Does Rhythmboard connect directly to my bank account?

Not yet. While Rhythmboard is in beta mode, it uses .csv imports rather than direct bank syncs. (Stripe and PayPal can connect automatically.)

But that doesn't mean it's all manual.

As a new user, you'll do a single .csv export of your 2026 transactions from each account. Then, you'll set up rules to categorize your revenue and expenses in bulk, and future .csv imports get auto-categorized for you.

In a typical month after that, you'll spend less than 5 minutes pulling those .csvs with light cleanup. But 90% of the transactions will likely be auto-categorized with no extra work from you.

Does Rhythmboard replace my bookkeeper or accountant?

No. Your bookkeeper, accountant, and accounting software keep your official books accurate, and you'll still want them for bookkeeping and tax advice.

Rhythmboard is the owner's view: a place to review what's happening in your business, learn from it, and decide what to focus on next.

Does Rhythmboard use AI or have AI features?

No, Rhythmboard is not an AI app, nor does it have built-in AI features. Things like auto-categorization are based on rules you set up.

Transparently, I've used AI tools to build Rhythmboard. But the app itself doesn't currently use AI.

What might be added to Rhythmboard in the future?

You can currently connect some email providers - like beehiiv, Flodesk, and Kit - but I'm scoping others by demand. As the app grows, I might also have the budget for a proper social media integration, but for now, it's a bit too expensive during the beta to justify the cost.

I'm also researching a simple way to compare promotions, launches, webinars, and campaigns over time, so you can see which sales efforts are worth repeating. (Today, you can look back at past months and reviews to compare them yourself. This would make it faster and more direct.) If that would be valuable to you, I'd love to hear what you'd want it to show.

These aren't guaranteed, but I wanted to share a bit more about what I'm thinking about. And paid founding members will have direct influence on what gets built next.

I have more questions. Who can I contact?

Submit this form and my team or I would be happy to help. We take requests and feedback, too.
